We have been tiresome since Christmas to get this to work and have not been able to do so. The V-Smile does not recognize the pen when we touch the book. Therefore, we have been unable to use the book(s) (we have additional books we bought also) at all. It does not matter where on the page we touch it does not recognize it. My grandson is very disappointed that he cannot use his new book.

My 3 1/2 year ancient daughter likes this. We had distress getting it to work at first, but after replacing the batteries we had no distress at all. It is simple to use, and VERY lasting (my 1 year ancient is very rough with it, and so far it has stood up to everything). I only wish the books were more readily unfilled.
